Police welcome prison sentences

Danai Mohammadi from Brittania Street and a friend set fire to his estranged wife's house in Kent in September last year after their marriage broke up.

Melissa Crook, 15 month old Noah and Melissa's dad Mark all died in the blaze.

Mohammadi was given 38 years inside and Farhad Mahmoud 34 years when they appeared at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday.

Mohammadi's girlfriend Emma Smith, who's from Barley Lea in Stoke Aldermoor was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being found guilty of manslaughter.
