Police investigating a stabbing in Coventry earlier this year have released images of a potential suspect.
The incident, which happened on Lower Gosford Street on 15 February, left a 20-year-old man with internal bleeding and injuries to his spleen and liver.
He spent over a week in hospital but has thankfully made a full physical recovery.
Detectives working on the case managed to obtain obsolete CCTV files from a nearby restaurant and a specialist digital team have been working to restore the files.
Today officers, who believe the attack was unprovoked, have released images of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
DC Rob Tilley, who’s leading the team, said: "We’ve finally been able to restore and access footage that captures the suspect walking past a restaurant shortly before the attack.
"We need to identify who this man is, and I’d ask anyone who can assist to contact us immediately on 101."
