Disabled couple left housebound following car theft

Police in Coventry are appealing for information after a car was stolen from outside a disabled couple's home.

Thieves took a blue VW Touran from the driveway of a house in Greens Road, Keresley, on Saturday (8 June).

The vehicle had been modified for the driver, and also had specially fitted hoists for the front seat passenger.

A mobility scooter was in the boot at the time of the theft, with the loss of both items effectively leaving the couple housebound.

Officers are appealing for the return of the car and scooter and are keen to speak to anyone with information on the incident.

If you know who is responsible or have any other details, you can contact West Midlands Police via Live Chat on the force website between 8am and midnight, or by calling 101 anytime.

Alternatively, you can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Quote 20CV/135745Y/19.
