Police are appealing for witnesses or information following a fatal collision on the M6 near Coventry.
It happened on Saturday (3 August) at around 12.20am, when a lorry travelling between junctions two and three northbound collided with a safety barrier close to a 'works exit', causing the vehicle to catch fire.
The driver of the lorry, a man in his 60s, was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was injured as a result of this incident.
Road closures were in place between junctions two and three while emergency services were in attendance.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, saw the manner in which the lorry was being driven prior to the collision or has any dashcam footage of the incident, is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 20 of 3 August 2019.
