More charges over murder in Tile Hill

Police investigating a murder in Coventry have charged two more men.

Emmanuel Lukenga, who was 21, died last month after being stabbed in the leg during a fight in Tile Hill.

19 year old Matthew Brankin from Thimber Road in Canley and Kyle Kinchen, who's 18 and from John Rous Avenue, have appeared in court today accused of killing him and also arson.

We told you earlier this week that another man, 18 year old Enroy Ruddock, has denied murder before a judge and will go on trial in December.

Here's the full statement from West Midlands Police:

"Detectives investigating the death of Emmanuel Lukenga in Coventry have charged two more men with his murder.

Emmanuel was found with a serious leg injury after being stabbed in Franklin Grove just after 2.30pm on Wednesday (12 June). The 21-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Matthew Brankin, age 19 of Thimber Road, Canley, and Kyle Kinchen, aged 18 of John Rous Avenue, Coventry, have also been charged with arson and are due to appear before Coventry Magistrates Court today (19 July).

Two other men, aged 18 and 41, who were arrested in June on suspicion of murder, have been released on bail while enquiries continue.

A fifth man, 18-year-old Enroy Ruddock, was charged with murder in June and remanded for trial later this year."
