Reward offered following unprovoked attack

Coventry Police are offering a £1,000 reward for information about an unprovoked attack on a man who was hit with a hammer and a wooden pole.

It happened on the Leicester Causeway in Foleshill in the early hours of Saturday 12th August.

The man sustained serious head and facial injuries and was taken to hospital where it was revealed he had a fractured eye socket, skull and broken jaw.

He has since been released from hospital and continues to recover from his injuries at home.

A number of enquiries are on-going and as investigators try to piece together what happened they’re appealing for witnesses who may have seen what happened.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Information given may lead to a reward of up to £1,000. Quote crime number 2CV/171061H/17.
