One Wedding and a DJ!

Posted By Brody Swain Tuesday, 31st August 2010 7:23am

The current Mrs Swain and I went to a wedding recently at Brownsover Hall down the road in Rugby. The rain was pouring down during the ceremony and then something magical happened …….it decided to stop and the sun came out just in time for the photographs outside. I was a guest during the day and then at night I became the DJ. I didn’t know anyone, so it was funny having the other guests looking at me thinking I recognise him from somewhere. We bumped into the Bride and Groom the morning after and they said it was the best day of their lives. It must have been down to the DJ!

The celebrity wedding most of us want an invitation to is Russell Brand and Katy Perry's. That's according to a new survey which puts their forthcoming nuptials at the top of fans' wish-lists. Prince William and Kate Middleton came second, despite the fact that they're not even engaged yet. Bottom of the list is an invite to Katie Price’s next wedding! There’s no chance of missing that if she gets hitched again ……it will no doubt be on ITV 2!

Love it or hate it The X Factor is back and with us until Christmas! The show kicked off with auditions in Glasgow and London with Geri Halliwell a guest judge. I love the early auditions and J'Ham a trio who met over the internet were so painful to watch with their version of Lady Ga Ga’s "Bad Romance" that Simon described them as the worst group he’d ever seen on the show. Louis Walsh told them they sounded like three cats being strangled down an alley way. I thought he was being kind.

I’ve often said if there’s a search to find talent there’s nearly always someone from Cov involved. A good example of that is "Don’t Stop Believing” on Channel 5. It was the big final on Sunday to find an all singing, all dancing group. Coventry’s Three Spires did a great job getting through to the finale but sadly it was Daledivas who were crowned champs. What a great achievement for Three Spires to go as far as they did!
